Canard Architecture

DESIGNED
TO DEFY
CONVENTION

The Velocity XL RG is a canard pusher configuration — meaning the small foreplane (canard) provides pitch control instead of a conventional tail. It's the same layout Burt Rutan used on VariEze, and it produces one critical safety advantage: the canard stalls first, pushing the nose down and preventing a dangerous main-wing stall.

The result is a naturally stall-resistant aircraft that also happens to be one of the sleekest machines ever to roll out of a homebuilt hangar. Rear-mounted engine, clean wing, no visual clutter — just pure forward velocity.
